Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Previous professional experience in a school-based setting
- Comfortable working with K-12 populations, adapting interventions for different age groups
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for all students
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to determine students functional needs
- Creating personalized, evidence-based interventions to improve students participation in daily school activities
- Writing clear reports and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Educating staff and parents about strategies and accommodations to support students
- Providing both direct and consultative services as needed
