Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to make a positive impact in a supportive school environment near Loves Park, IL! This is a contract position for the upcoming 26/27 academic year, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Youll have the chance to work with students across all age rangesincluding early childhood, elementary, middle, and high schoolhelping them develop essential skills for success in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy interventions for children and adolescents
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage caseloads, write detailed reports, and document progress effectively

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students with diverse needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans (IEPs) that support educational goals
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services in various school settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure integrated support
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations for service delivery
