A rewarding opportunity awaits professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of students through occupational therapy. Work onsite in a supportive educational environment, providing vital services to elementary and high school students, as well as supporting an autism-focused program within the district. This full-time contract role runs through the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
What were looking for:
- Valid and current OT license required
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services in school settings strongly preferred
- Skill in managing itinerant caseloads, with adaptability to work across multiple campuses
- Confidence in both direct therapy and teacher consultation
- Strong understanding of IEP documentation and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Dedication to fostering independence and functional skills in students
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direct and indirect OT services in 2 elementary schools (11-12 students/school) and at a high school (17-18 students)
- Deliver therapy for an autism-based district program off-campus
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, offering supportive recommendations for student accommodations
- Travel between school sites as needed according to the itinerant schedule
- Document progress and participate in student meetings and IEP development
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines for school-based OT
