Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid OT licensure in California
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, educators, and families
- Knowledge of IEP process and ability to document goals, progress, and outcomes
- Organizational skills and adaptability to work with various caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students motor skills and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design appropriate supports
- Implement therapy sessions individually or in small groups, addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of educational plans
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing progress notes
- Provide training and resources for teachers and families to carry out recommended strategies
