Job Description

An exciting contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students within schools in the Los Alamos, NM area. This position involves serving a very part-time caseload, allowing for a balanced schedule while making a meaningful impact on student outcomes in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Collaborate with educators and related service providers to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Utilize district-standard IEP systems to document progress and develop treatment plans.
  • Participate in paid team meetings and administrative time as scheduled.
  • Deliver itinerant services between assigned schools within the district.
  • Maintain professional documentation and comply with district guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license.
  • Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
  • Ability to manage a very part-time workload of approximately 3 hours per week.
  • Proficiency with IEP systems and related administrative duties.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and school assignments.

Location: Ohkay Owing, NM, serving schools in Los Alamos and surrounding areas.
