Job Description

This position calls for a skilled Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting students motor and functional skills development in a school setting. Located in the Lorain, OH area, youll have the chance to work closely with a diverse group of children and collaborate with dedicated educators and support staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a current Ohio Occupational Therapy (OT) license
  • Meet the requirements for school certification in Ohio
  • Experience in school-based OT preferred
  • Skilled in adapting interventions for a variety of student needs and IEPs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessments and direct services to Kindergarten through 8th grade students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster student growth and inclusion
  • Document progress, maintain compliance, and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings as needed
  • Advise staff on strategies, modifications, and resources for student success

This contract position consists of 12 hours each week, distributed over 2-3 days for enhanced flexibility. Youll have the satisfaction of making meaningful contributions without the demands of a full-time schedule.
