Take your occupational therapy expertise into a dynamic school environment, supporting students in their educational journey! This contract opportunity involves working onsite with a diverse student caseload in a supportive, collaborative setting. Youll play a key role in fostering student growth and functional independence, integrating your OT skills within school-based programming.
Key Qualifications:
- Current occupational therapy license required
- Prior experience in a pediatric or school-based OT setting preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to providing inclusive, student-centered therapy
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT services, supporting IEP goals
- Assess student needs and develop targeted intervention plans
- Document assessments, progress notes, and reports per school protocols
- Consult with teachers and staff to integrate strategies into classroom routines
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and sensory supports
- Engage with families to support carryover of skills and encourage student participation
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to team discussions
- Maintain compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards
