A full-time occupational therapy opportunity is available for a skilled professional to work onsite within a K-12 school setting in Long Beach, CA. This contract position offers the chance to support students across a diverse age range, utilizing specialized expertise in pediatric occupational therapy to enhance their educational experience and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to K-12 students, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and adjust therapy goals to meet students evolving needs.
- Provide training and resources to school staff to support student success.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Experience working in school environments with K-12 caseloads.
