Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students with occupational therapy services for the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse student population and provide a positive impact in an educational environment located near Locust Grove, VA. There are two positions available, offering full-time hours in a supportive school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license (Virginia or eligible for reciprocity)
- Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, evaluations, and delivering therapeutic interventions for K-12 students
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of educators and related service professionals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services, including assessment, goal-setting, and evidence-based intervention for students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of services, assessment results, and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Adapt therapy plans and resources as needed to address the unique needs of each student
- Facilitate professional communication and training to school staff on strategies to support student participation and independence
