Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current and valid OT license for New York State
• Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families
• Ability to assess students, develop individualized intervention plans, and monitor progress
• Familiarity with IEP process and documentation requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend adaptive strategies and modifications
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop intervention plans and strategies to enhance student participation and performance in the classroom
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with legal and district guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team conferences, and ongoing professional development opportunities
