Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Michigan Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience working in schools, healthcare, or home health settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to assess, develop, and execute therapeutic plans for K-12 children
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in school and home settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other support professionals
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
- Document therapy sessions and progress in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Adapt equipment and materials for students with special needs to support their educational goals
- Consult with families and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to provide cohesive care
Position Details:
- Contract position, 35-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Engage with students in kindergarten through 12th grade, tailoring your approach for each developmental stage
