Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' growth and development as a licensed Occupational Therapist. Two contract positions are available: one full-time and one at 0.8 FTE, both serving diverse schools spanning preschool to high school. This role in the North Denver area brings you into dynamic environments, where your skills can have a meaningful impact on students with varied needs.
In this position, your journey begins at the Summer Symposium New Hire Orientation from July 27th31st, a required week that sets the stage for a positive and supportive school year. The contract runs from August 3rd, 2026 through May 21st, 2027.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Active Colorado Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- CO Department of Education (DOE) license
- DORA certification
- Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with students ranging from preschool to high school
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect OT services across assigned campuses (2 schools), supporting individualized student needs (caseloads generally range 4060 students)
- Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with educators and support staff
- Document and assess student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt OT strategies for students in preschools and specialized programs to ensure equitable service delivery
- Attend and engage in the July Summer Symposium orientation to foster a collaborative team environment
