Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a contract Occupational Therapist serving elementary students in a supportive and dynamic school setting in the Lexington Park, MD area. This position will have you working across several schools, offering you the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams and make a true difference in students' daily lives. Your expertise will help empower young learners, removing barriers and promoting greater independence.

You'll manage a caseload of 26 students spanning Great Mills High School, Spring Ridge Middle School, George Washington Carver Elementary School, Lexington Park Elementary School, Ridge Elementary School, Park Hall Elementary School, and Greenview Knolls Elementary School. The assignment runs through June 4, 2027, providing stability as you deliver therapeutic interventions and creative solutions.

What you'll need:

  • Valid MD Occupational Therapist License (OT)
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
  • Collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, empowering environment for all students

What youll do:

  • Evaluate students occupational therapy needs and develop individualized plans
  • Provide direct intervention and consultative services
  • Utilize adaptive techniques and equipment as needed
  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district policies and best practices
  • Travel between school sites, ensuring accessible therapy for all assigned students
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and goal development
