An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Occupational Therapist eager to support infants and toddlers in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time contract role is based at a district office near Lexington Park, MD, focusing on providing vital services across early intervention caseloads. Youll collaborate within a supportive team environment, impacting young learners and their families while developing tailored therapy plans that foster growth and development.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Maryland
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, especially with infants and toddlers, is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and therapeutic interventions
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for effective team participation and family engagement
- Adaptable, proactive, and ready to start as soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate young children to determine their therapeutic needs and strengths
- Design and implement individualized therapy goals and intervention plans
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other service providers on the team
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance records per district and regulatory guidelines
- Attend district meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and offer expertise on developmental milestones and support strategies
