Make a meaningful impact working with students across multiple schools in the Leonardtown area as a contract Occupational Therapist. You'll support a diverse elementary caseload, providing essential services to help students achieve their fullest potential in both academic and functional settings. This full-time assignment will have you working at several locations, giving you opportunities to collaborate with various educational teams and deepen your professional experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Maryland required
- Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting is strongly preferred
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of 26 elementary students
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students across designated schools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address each students unique needs
- Conduct assessments and regularly monitor progress, updating interventions as needed
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive educational planning
