Make an impact on student success by providing Occupational Therapy services in a dynamic school setting near Lenexa, KS. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through late May 2027, offering the chance to work with a diverse caseload of 50 to 60 students across multiple school sites. You'll enjoy substantial autonomy in building your daily schedule and determining which schools to visit each day.
As a valued professional, you will support students at several schools, including Camber, Bridges Academy, New Chelsea Elementary, Emerson Elementary, and Welborn Elementary. The environment fosters collaboration while also providing flexibility to best serve your students unique needs. On average, therapists visit between one to three schools per day, but have control over their routine to meet the needs of their case load.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Kansas Occupational Therapy license (required for consideration)
- Previous experience or strong interest in school-based OT services
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt therapy plans to K-12 students with varying needs
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set your own schedule efficiently
- Collaborative spirit to work alongside educators, support staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, develop IEP goals, and deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Consult with staff and caregivers to maximize student success
- Travel between assigned schools, using district resources and professional judgment to prioritize visits
