Provide specialized occupational therapy services in an educational setting, supporting students developmental and functional needs to enhance their participation and success in school activities. This full-time, in-person role involves managing a caseload of approximately 30 students, primarily at the elementary level, within a contract position located in Las Cruces, NM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized occupational therapy plans tailored to student goals.
• Deliver direct therapy services to students at elementary, middle, and high school levels, focusing on enhancing motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within the school environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and parent conferences to discuss student progress and adjust interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with relevant state certification.
• Experience working within school settings, preferably with children at the elementary level.
• Strong understanding of educational regulations and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently and with a student-centered approach.
