Job Description

This contract opportunity takes place in a vibrant school setting near Lancaster, NY, serving the elementary age group over the summer from July 6th through August 14th. Enjoy a predictable weekday schedule with working hours from 8:15am to 2:15pm, totaling 27.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in New York State
  • Experience in a school-based or pediatric clinical setting strongly preferred
  • Comfortable managing and supporting elementary-age caseloads
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to create effective therapy plans
  • Enthusiastic about working onsite within a supportive and inclusive educational community

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Evaluate student needs and develop individualized treatment strategies to maximize learning and participation
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings as needed
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and families, offering resources and guidance to support student achievement
  • Adapt therapy tools and approaches to meet diverse student needs within the elementary population
