Job Description

Make a real impact in the lives of elementary students as a contract Occupational Therapist serving a vibrant school community near Bloomington, MN. This part-time opportunity invites you to work 20 hours each week from August through December 2026, providing targeted support in a single school site. Youll enjoy a manageable caseload in a collaborative environment focused on student success.

In this role, youll work within a 3:1 service delivery model, allowing you to focus deeply on students needs without the demands of case management. Youll also have the chance to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), offering guidance and sharing your expertise while fostering professional growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Minnesota
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with elementary-aged children is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices for school-based OT service provision
  • Comfortable providing COTA supervision and collaborating with educational teams
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services following student IEPs within the 3:1 model
  • Supervise and support COTAs in implementing interventions and tracking student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education staff to maximize student participation and occupational development
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with state and school requirements
