Job Description

This full-time position is tailored for a dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to support school-aged children with diverse behavioral and physical needs. The role is based in a welcoming educational setting near Lakeville, MN, and offers a balanced Monday through Friday schedule with approximately 30 hours per week.

Desired Background and Credentials:

  • Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Minnesota (required)
  • Previous experience working in school-based, healthcare, or home health settings, particularly with children
  • Comfortable managing a caseload involving a variety of disabilities, including behavioral and physical challenges
  • Ability to conduct services independently; no supervision is provided in this role
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, staff, and families
  • Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in occupational therapy, including documentation and compliance

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in alignment with IEP goals and school standards
  • Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and track student progress
  • Adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each student, employing creativity and clinical expertise
  • Consult with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy recommendations into classroom environments
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment to encourage student growth and participation
