Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
  • Experience working in school settings; COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) background is a plus
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy principles and special education practices
  • Background in home health, healthcare, or teletherapy for OT is highly valued
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to creating and implementing individualized therapy plans

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services within a school environment to students with diverse needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute detailed reports, and provide recommendations for classroom modifications and accommodations
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate interventions within the students academic routine
  • Utilize technology to support teletherapy or remote consultation, as needed
  • Provide coaching and guidance for COTA personnel as appropriate
