Providing occupational therapy services within an elementary school setting offers a rewarding opportunity to support the developmental and educational progress of young students. This contract position is based in La Plata, MD, serving one of four local elementary schools, with a focus on enhancing the functional skills of children ages 5 to 11.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions to elementary-aged students
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement therapy plans
• Assess students needs and progress, adjusting treatment strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and licensing guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Maryland Occupational Therapy license (OPT) required
• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within an educational team
• Familiarity with age-appropriate therapeutic techniques and school-based interventions

Location and Schedule:

• Position available in La Plata, MD
• Approximately 7:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Contract duration from ASAP through June 9th (Current School Year)
