Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and caregivers
- Dedication to fostering student independence and functional skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify needs relating to fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Design and deliver engaging therapy sessions in individual and group formats
- Collaborate with special education teams to support IEP goals through targeted interventions
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate staff and families on techniques to reinforce therapy goals in daily routines
- Contribute innovative solutions to help students access curriculum and school environments
