An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide essential therapy services within school settings. This role involves travel assignments, allowing you to apply your expertise in diverse educational environments and support students developmental needs.
Location and Assignment: This position is based in Kent, WA, with travel assignments to various schools in the region. The travel element enriches your professional experience by exposing you to multiple school communities and varying student populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each students unique needs.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to implement therapy strategies that enhance student participation and success.
- Provide direct therapy interventions that focus on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and other foundational skills critical to educational performance.
- Track and document student progress, adapting interventions and reporting outcomes in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of inclusive educational plans.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified Occupational Therapist with experience working in school environments.
- Strong understanding of child development and pediatric occupational therapy approaches.
