Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving a vibrant K-12 population for the upcoming 26/27 academic year. This position offers 37.5 hours per week, with a focus on delivering high-quality direct services across multiple schools in the Kent, WA area.

Youll collaborate closely with education professionals to conduct assessments, provide therapy, and develop and implement IEPs. Caseloads are managed based on direct service minutes, with full-time OTs typically supporting between 900 and 950 minutes weekly across 4-5 school sites. This structure allows for varied experiences as you work with both elementary and secondary students, tailoring interventions to help each child achieve their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Washington (WA OT)
  • ESA certification required
  • Previous school-based OT experience highly preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered care

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services per IEP requirements and service minutes
  • Complete comprehensive student assessments and document findings
  • Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Travel between assigned schools as needed to provide services
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
