Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a rewarding school-based contract role starting in fall 2025 near Kent, WA. This opportunity offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, directly supporting K-12 students across several school sites. Youll have the unique experience of working with diverse age groups, from elementary to secondary, tailoring your approach to match each students needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and deliver direct therapy based on students IEPs
- Serve a caseload spread across 4-5 schools, providing between 900 and 950 direct service minutes per week
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to optimize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and assessment findings
- Adapt and modify activities or environments to support students participation in school routines
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Washington Occupational Therapist license and ESA certification
- Prior experience in school-based OT roles is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload and support both elementary and secondary students
