Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT state licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience working in school settings is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP process and ability to develop and implement therapy plans
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload with varying needs
- Passion for making a meaningful impact on students educational journeys
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students needs and develop individualized therapy treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students, incorporating sensory-motor, fine motor, and visual motor strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students educational goals
- Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Offer consultation and in-class support to modify materials and adapt environments
- Monitor and report on progress toward student goals, making adjustments as needed
- Deliver training and resources to school staff and caregivers as appropriate
