Make a meaningful impact in the lives of PreK-8th grade students through a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist. This full-time role is based at a thriving school setting near Kenner, LA, providing specialized support to help children succeed academically and developmentally. Collaborate closely with a Physical Therapist and Adapted Physical Education professional in a shared office space, fostering a supportive and multidisciplinary environment. One day each week, you'll also have the assistance of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help manage your caseload.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure required
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
• Ability to manage and prioritize caseloads of students from PreK through 8th grade
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Organizational skills to document services and track student progress effectively

Role Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions for students
• Develop goals and adapt activities to encourage student participation and achievement
• Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and team members to support educational objectives
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to review and adjust student therapy plans as needed
