This contract role offers both onsite and virtual options, serving six small schools with a manageable caseload of 3035 students. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, allowing you to shape your schedule to fit your lifestyle.

Your expertise in school-based OT will help empower students to thrive academically and socially. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to design and implement individualized intervention plans and positively impact each students growth.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Alaska (OT licensure in AK required)
  • Prior experience or knowledge in school-based OT settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability for onsite and virtual therapy delivery
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students needs and develop individualized treatment strategies tailored to IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students, both onsite and virtually as needed
  • Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and federal requirements
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to integrate OT strategies into the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide guidance for classroom adaptations and modifications
