Job Description

Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality support to students across a network of six small schools in the Kasilof, AK area. Both full-time and part-time contract opportunities are available, with flexibility for onsite or virtual work to best fit your professional needs. You will manage a manageable caseload of 3035 students, delivering essential therapy services and collaborating with school teams to help each student succeed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Alaska
  • Previous experience as a school-based OT, or a strong interest in working in a school environment
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload and tailor intervention strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary educational team
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable for virtual service delivery, if needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy and consultative support to students ages pre-K through high school
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with student IEPs and educational goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to foster student growth and independence
  • Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and comply with all state and federal guidelines
  • Adjust strategies and techniques based on student progress, IEP meetings, and team input
