A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support a school setting in Kansas City, KS. This role focuses on providing therapeutic services to students, helping them develop the skills necessary for academic and daily living success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals with educational plans.
- Document student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care capabilities.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) discussions.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant certification.
- Experience working within a school environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices.
- Ability to develop personalized treatment plans and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to fostering student growth and independence.
