Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist serving elementary students in a supportive environment near Joliet, IL. This is a full-time, onsite position with an immediate start through November 2026, providing continuity in one elementary building with both self-contained and regular education/resource caseloads. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Illinois is required
  • Compliance with any district- or state-mandated credentials (e.g., PEL or specialized certifications as needed)
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Dedication to fostering student independence, access, and participation within educational settings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary students
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in self-contained and general education/resource classrooms
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a supportive learning environment
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Adapt interventions and recommendations to best serve student needs and educational goals
  • Advocate for accessibility and support across the academic environment
