Job Description

This full-time contract role offers the chance to support students across two local school sites, collaborating with a dedicated educational team to enhance students functional skills, improve participation in academic activities, and promote independence.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, adaptability, and a passion for working with children and adolescents within school environments. Enjoy a set Monday through Friday schedule, from 8am-4pm, that aligns with the school calendar.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience highly preferred
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt therapy approaches for individual needs
  • Skilled in assessments, goal-setting, and documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students to identify OT needs and develop individualized plans
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to help students meet their IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to integrate therapeutic strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
  • Support adaptive strategies and accommodations in both classroom and therapy settings across two school sites
