Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students' growth and development as an Occupational Therapist near Jacksonville, FL. This full-time opportunity involves working 35 hours per week during the 2026-2027 school year, with a start date of August 10, 2026, and completion scheduled for May 28, 2027. The role is itinerant, offering the chance to serve multiple school sites on the north and west sides of Jacksonville. Collaborate with dedicated educational professionals while making a meaningful impact on students across a range of ages and needs.

What were seeking:

  • Valid and active Occupational Therapist license issued by the FL Department of Health
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
  • Adaptability and organizational skills for supporting multiple campuses
  • Comfort working in an itinerant role; reliable transportation for daily travel between sites
  • Commitment to in-person (on-site) service; this opportunity is not open to remote/VOCO options
  • Ability to complete all required fingerprints and follow credentialing processes, including verification through the AHCA Clearinghouse if applicable and obtaining a JLA badge
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff, students, and caregivers

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy interventions and care plans for diverse student caseloads (details to be confirmed)
  • Support students participation and success in school activities through assessment, treatment, and consultation
  • Document progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Actively contribute as a member of interdisciplinary teams
  • Travel to and support multiple assigned schools within your region
