Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active and valid OT license in Michigan
  • Experience working within educational settings, preferably K-12
  • Strong understanding of IEP process and school-based documentation
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for student development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students functional abilities using standardized and non-standardized assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans consistent with IEP goals
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services in both classroom and pull-out settings
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support
  • Document student progress, update records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Educate school staff on strategies to enhance classroom accessibility and student participation
  • Adapt interventions to accommodate diverse learner needs and environments
