Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license is required
- Previous experience working with children in a school environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with IEP processes, goal writing, and documentation in compliance with state/federal regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care for a diverse caseload of K-12 learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluate students functional abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultative support and in-class strategies to teachers and parents
- Educate staff and families on assistive strategies and equipment
