Job Description

In this contract role, you'll work onsite, dedicating your expertise to empower students and help them overcome barriers to learning and participation. Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current South Carolina Occupational Therapist license
  • SC Educator Certification (active and required)
  • Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy; home health, teletherapy, and general healthcare backgrounds also valued
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions and support across a diverse K-12 student population

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students and contribute to eligibility decisions
  • Develop individualized and measurable therapeutic goals, tailored to each student's needs
  • Participate in, and when needed, lead Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as the OT specialist
  • Deliver direct OT services as defined by IEPs, focusing on improving each childs access and success in the school environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and service logs in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Communicate regularly with team members, teachers, and families to ensure integrated student support
  • Travel time is compensated, and additional details regarding mileage reimbursement are being confirmed
