Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (or eligibility for temporary licensure)
  • Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a pediatric or educational setting
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
  • Understanding of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and the ability to participate in meetings and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students strengths and areas for growth
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each students success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to progress reports and IEP meetings
  • Provide direct and consultative services in classrooms and/or specialized settings
  • Educate staff and parents on strategies and modifications to improve student participation
