Job Description

Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students in a specialized school setting serving ages 6-21. This contract Occupational Therapy role offers full-time hours on an 11-month school schedule, providing a unique chance to deliver comprehensive services to a diverse caseload. As an itinerant therapist, you'll support learners with a variety of needs, making a meaningful difference across multiple school environments.

What you'll bring:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and a current Maryland OT license
  • Several years of experience in school-based, healthcare, home health, or teletherapy environments
  • Strong background in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Familiarity with a caseload or workload model within a school setting
  • Dedication to working with students who have specialized needs; previous experience in a similar environment is a plus
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Flexibility to work itinerantly and adapt to new challenges as they arise

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting evaluations and developing treatment plans within an IEP-based framework
  • Providing direct therapy services to students while maintaining accurate and timely documentation
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Attending and contributing to team meetings, with indirect/admin time incorporated
  • Adapting therapy tools and environments to support diverse learners
  • Traveling between assigned schools within the district
