Job Description

Providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic school setting in Houston, TX, this full-time contract role offers the opportunity to support students aged 3 to 21 across multiple schools within an assigned zone. The position involves conducting evaluations, participating in ARD meetings, and delivering direct OT interventions to enhance student participation and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Attend ARD meetings to collaborate on student educational goals
  • Serve students ranging from early childhood through young adulthood (ages 3-21)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district requirements
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Texas OT licensure is required
  • Experience working in school-based occupational therapy preferred
  • Open to highly qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) with multiple years of school experience
  • Ability to complete district-required fingerprinting and background checks
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Candidates must not be former employees of the district, as they will not be considered

Location and Schedule:

  • On-site in the Houston area (southwest side of the city)
  • Full-time schedule, 35 hours per week
  • Contract duration extends from ASAP through May 21, 2026
