This contract opportunity offers the chance to support childrens academic and personal development by fostering independence and addressing challenges related to learning and participation.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- State OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Proficiency conducting assessments, developing individualized interventions, and maintaining documentation
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with educators, families, and students
- Adaptability and flexibility to serve diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative Occupational Therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments and re-evaluations to determine student eligibility and progress
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and parents on intervention strategies
- Document all sessions, progress notes, and reports in compliance with district and legal guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Support school staff with training and resources related to motor skills, sensory integration, and accommodations
