Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, supporting elementary students with diverse needs. Located close to Hopkins, MN, this onsite position is ideal for a clinician eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. Spanning the 2026-2027 academic year, youll work with approximately 30 elementary students, encompassing a variety of disabilities.
In this 19-hour-per-week role, youll collaborate with educational teams to assess, plan, and implement therapy strategies that help students achieve their fullest academic potential. Your expertise will foster growth and independence for children at a pivotal stage in their development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Minnesota
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, faculty, and families
- Ability to tailor interventions for a range of disabilities and developmental levels
- Proactive approach to multitasking and managing a diverse caseload
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to elementary students
- Evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans
- Document progress, collaborate on IEP teams, and communicate with guardians and staff
- Adapt strategies to support access to curriculum and foster independence across school environments
