Job Description

Make a meaningful impact on young learners as a contract OT or COTA working with an Early Interventionist Team for the 2026-2027 academic year. This part-time, onsite opportunity focuses on supporting 3-4-year-old children, providing vital occupational therapy services in an engaging educational environment. The position involves working four hours per day, four days a week, split between locations in the northern and southern areas.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana OT or COTA license is required
  • Experience or strong interest in early childhood/early intervention settings
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Flexibility to travel between two schools within the parish (transportation provided by employee)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to preschool-aged children to support their developmental and educational goals
  • Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and document progress toward IEP objectives
  • Collaborate with other early intervention team members to develop holistic support strategies
  • Engage families and educators, sharing strategies and tools to reinforce therapy goals in classroom and home settings
  • For COTAs, participate in regular supervision sessions as required for compliance and continued growth
