Step into an impactful and rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, supporting young learners throughout the summer session. This contract position runs from July 6th through August 14th, and offers a consistent schedule of 27.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM 2:15 PM). Youll work onsite with an elementary caseload, helping students develop essential skills for success in and out of the classroom.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapy License
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow clinicians
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to elementary students
- Assess students needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Document progress and maintain thorough records in accordance with best practices and district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students goals are integrated throughout the school environment
- Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning as needed
- Provide support and guidance for assistive devices or sensory strategies
