Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in educational environments by supporting students developmental needs as an onsite Occupational Therapist. This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with dedicated professionals while positively influencing students across various school settings. The position runs from August 25, 2026, through June 8, 2027, and involves a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break each day.

Openings are available for three caseloads: a split between Lancashire and Maple Lane Elementary, a full caseload at Mount Pleasant Elementary, and a split assignment between middle and high school levels. Each presents the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and help students achieve their goals in both academic and functional settings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Delaware Occupational Therapist license (required).
  • Experience working in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, educators, and families.
  • Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Professional resume submission required for consideration.
  • Willingness to pay for required $85 CBC fingerprinting fee (pre-approval necessary).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to assigned students as indicated by their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed and compliant documentation for all services provided.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary approach to student success.
