Make a difference in students lives by supporting their growth and development in a school-based role located near Henrico, VA. This is a full-time, onsite position for an Occupational Therapist (OT) during the 2026-2027 school year. Work collaboratively with educators and other professionals to provide specialized OT services across multiple school sites, helping students reach their full potential in an encouraging environment.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Active and valid Virginia OT License
- Experience with school-based OT, healthcare OT, or related pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and developmental milestones
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Compliance with district or state-specific onboarding requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students from various grade levels
- Serve 2-3 school sites within the district, delivering therapy both in individual and group settings
- Evaluate students needs, develop treatment plans, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Document all services, assessments, and progress in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Work alongside teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students academic and functional outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date records and adhere to confidentiality standards
