Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current state OT licensure
- Prior experience in pediatric or school settings preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Flexibility to adapt therapeutic approaches to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students fine motor, sensory, and functional skills within the educational environment
- Develop and execute intervention plans that align with IEP goals and support academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to provide guidance on classroom accommodations and strategies
- Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory requirements
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding occupational therapy interventions and best practices
- Support student transitions between activities, classes, and grade levels as needed
