Key Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license required
• Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong knowledge of conducting evaluations and providing direct therapy services
• Ability to participate effectively in IEP meetings and complete relevant documentation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working as part of an itinerant team, traveling between school sites

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services directly to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Conduct timely evaluations to determine eligibility and therapy goals
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families during IEP meetings
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and adhere to district requirements
• Travel to assigned schools to ensure students across the district receive consistent care
• Contribute to an interdisciplinary approach for student success
