Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to tailor interventions to individual student needs and educational goals
- Up-to-date with best practices in sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skill interventions
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage a flexible caseload in a dynamic environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students functional performance and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services, both one-on-one and in small groups, fostering participation and independence in school routines
- Document evaluation results, progress notes, and IEP reports in compliance with school/district guidelines
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student strategies and accommodations
- Engage in IEP meetings and contribute expertise in occupational therapy to support student outcomes
- Stay current with educational policies and therapy innovations to promote best practices
