Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this summer as an Occupational Therapist supporting elementary students in a vibrant school environment. From July 6th through August 14th, you'll be making a meaningful impact by fostering student growth and helping young learners develop the skills they need to thrive.
In this onsite position, you'll work weekdays from 8:15am to 2:15pm, providing dedicated therapy services to an elementary caseload. Your expertise will be vital in assessing students needs, collaborating with educators and caregivers, and creating individualized plans that promote independence and participation in everyday activities.
Desired qualifications:
- Current and valid New York Occupational Therapist license
- Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric/elementary-age populations is preferred
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for supporting young learners growth and development
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
- Assess students functional skills and design appropriate interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor progress and adjust plans to meet evolving needs
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and compliance with school policies
