Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid OT license in the state
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement interventions tailored to individual and group needs
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, educators, and parents
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide timely reports
  • Familiarity with IEP process and relevant federal/state regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to identify occupational therapy needs and develop targeted plans
  • Deliver direct therapy services individually and in groups within classrooms or designated therapy spaces
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to adapt classroom strategies and support student participation
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and document progress toward goals
  • Offer training and resources for staff to implement supportive interventions
  • Stay current with best practices and attend professional development as needed
